A water-colour painting from a photograph I took of The Jolly Coopers pub in Hampton village.
I cycle past this old pub in a Grade II listed building that dates back to the 18th Century sometimes on my daily jaunts. It’s been used as a Glass and Alehouse since 1726, since when a wooden wall panel lists landlords to the present day. The current owners took over in 1986, and the pub is proud to consider itself at the centre of the local community.
A quick word on the painting, which represents early attempts at learning a new skill in lockdown, (water-colour isn't usually my thing). The "new skill" idea came from within a small group of selfless folk, of whom I am one, ahem, taking on a Beer2020 Challenge for charity.
