The title of this post shows Leo Sayer‘s lyrical u-turn at the end of each chorus in his first hit song “The Show Must Go On”. Scheduled himself to perform here at Hampton Open Air Pool in the summer of 2020, sadly it wasn't to be, with the predictable cancellation of all concerts.

In his song the point Sayer is making is that contrary to the well-known mantra the show must go on, his character is worn down from entertaining crowds that don't care about him, and he's ready to call the show off.
Wishful thinking
You may recall an earlier cycle trip, (Post 7 “The Show Must Go On”, almost six weeks ago), where plans to hold summer open air concerts at Hampton Pool persisted as early lockdown requirements remained ambiguous.
Maybe next year.
