Put your left leg in ...

Medium-busy tube train enters station. Doors open. People pile on (leg order unimportant). Must get that seat. Sod anyone trying to get off! Interestingly this "Get on first and bugger everyone else" attitude is less common during rush hour, when crowded conditions actually seem to trigger the courtesy-gene. Boarding travellers tend to stand on the platform either side of the spot(s) where the doors come to rest, and actually let those departing get off first! Sometimes it gets really silly, and people already on the train, standing in the congested areas around the doors, step down to the platform to make room for people to get off, before getting back on themselves.
